Bootable USB Pendrive Using cmd.





Today i want to show you how to Bootable USB Pendrive Using cmd.

when you want to give windows in your pc, you should need  a CD or DVD drive or a pendrive. you can give windows in your pc via pendrive very easily.To create a bootable USB drive manually, we will use the Command Prompt as a Windows default program. Here are step by step to create a bootable USB drive as the Windows installation media. To create a bootable USB drive as a Windows installation media, we require at least 4GB for minimum capacity.This method work all operating sistem(like windows xp, windows 7, windows 8, windows 10).


Step 1 : Run cmd

Insert a USB drive into a running computer.Go to start search cmd. Right click the file and select run as administrator.




Step 2 : Following commands

  • When the command prompt will appear type 'diskpart' in command prompt.
  • Type 'list disk' to view active disks on your computer and hit Enter.There would be seen that the active disks shown as Disk 0 for hard drive and Disk 1 for your USB drive with it,s total capacity.
  • Type 'select disk 1' and hit enter.
  • Type 'clean' and hit enter to remove all of data in the drive.
  • Type 'create partition primary' and hit enter.
  • Type 'select partition 1' and hit enter.
  • Type 'active' and hit enter.
  • Type 'format fs=ntfs quick' and hit enter.
  • Type 'Assign' and hit enter.
  • Type 'exit' and hit Enter.


Now the pen drive has become bootable. Now you can put your windows fils in your bootable pendrive and install windows in your pc.
